Let’s Keep Riverchase Special

By Stephanie Derzis & the ARC Committee

One of the things that makes Riverchase so special is the way our homes and landscapes blend to create a welcoming community. To help keep that charm, our neighborhood has an Architectural Review Committee (ARC) that looks at exterior changes before projects get underway.

If you’re planning updates – painting your house, putting on a new roof, adding a fence, resurfacing a driveway, or making landscaping changes – it’s always a good idea to check with the ARC first. The process is simple and ensures that everyone’s improvements will continue adding value and beauty to Riverchase.

In addition to ARC approval, some projects will require a Hoover city permit (new construction, major additions, structural changes). Checking with both the ARC and the city before starting will ensure your project meets all neighborhood guidelines and city codes.

Anytime outdoor work is done – building a fence, adding a structure or a patio – a survey is required to assure that it’s within property boundaries and follows setback rules. This protects you and your neighbors while avoiding costly corrections later.

The ARC isn’t about limiting creativity – it’s about keeping our neighborhood cohesive, protecting property values, and making sure Riverchase stays the community we’re all proud to call home.

You can find the full guidelines and applications on the Riverchase Residential Association website (under Residents, — Covenants, Policies, & Forms), or by contacting Stephanie Panagiotides directly (205-517-8351). If you’re unsure whether your project needs approval, just ask – we’re happy to help.

Together, we can keep Riverchase looking its best for years to come.
