RRA Board Report | Maintenance Highlights

Last year the Monument Committee (part of the Beautification Committee) rank-ordered the monuments and islands for enhancements. The top priorities for 2026 were Baneberry, Dividing Ridge, Riverchase Forest and The Highlands/Riverchase Cove.
Accomplished to date:
- Power-washed all monuments and polished the bronze lettering.
- Updated/repaired the lighting systems at all monuments that have lighting.
- Repaired all broken irrigation systems in multiple areas.
Baneberry
- Removed dead plants and plants that were overgrown or struggling
- Removed volunteer trees from existing bushes
- Expanded, centered and raised flower beds and updated them with more plants
- Repaired the meter and sprinkler system
Dividing Ridge
- Removed 2 trees and trimmed branches overhanging the entrance
- Repaired water leak at the meter and sprinkler system
- Buried utility boxes that were above ground
- Expanded flower bed and added more flowers
- Laid SOD on both sides to expand grass area
- Will plant new hydrangeas on the hill opposite the monument when they arrive
Riverchase Forest
- No major work has been done here yet
- Normal trimming and pine straw application were accomplished
The Highlands/Riverchase Cove
- No major work has been done at The Highlands entrance
- Normal trimming and pine straw application were accomplished at The Highlands
- Expanded the flower bed at Riverchase Cove and added more flowers. We will raise the bed and add a second level next spring.
For the islands, pine straw has been added and weeding will continue. Since the islands have no sprinkler system, planting flowers and bushes is not practical. Same for any monuments without sprinklers.
