Update: Bain’s Bridge Project

The Cahaba River Bain’s Bridge project is back in the news. Plans are moving forward to sell the upper portion of the former Bama Concrete site on Old Montgomery Highway to Cahaba Landing Development, a group of five locals, among whom is Riverchase’s Hunter Strickler.

According to Strickler, the city will retain the lower parcel as a park and canoe/kayak launch. The upper portion, though still at the concept stage, is likely to include a family friendly food and beverage space, co-working office space, and recreational type amenities.
