We are off to another terrific year in Riverchase!

First off, and something many of us have eagerly anticipated, the dam on Lake Forest Circle has finally, after three long years, been completed. I invite you to visit the site and see the amazing transformation. RRA is already working on landscaping plans to bring that area back to life. Special thanks to the City of Hoover and Riverchase Country Club without whose help this would not have been possible.

I hope you have been reading in the local paper about the Riverwalk Development, a planned community on the East side of Riverchase Parkway on the Regions Campus. For more on this please check out the news article in this issue.

The Board is working diligently to update our 40+ year-old governing documents with the hope that you will consider them a welcome step in keeping our property values up and our neighborhood safe. We will be voting soon and would like to be able to count on your support.

The annual RRA meeting, What’s up in Riverchase, has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 9th, at 6:00 pm at the Riverchase Country Club. At that time, you will be able to hear the candidates for the RRA Board speak and vote for your favorites. It might also be a good time to see the beautiful renovations taking place at the Country Club.

There is a saying that, “Real Estate has a life, after which it must reinvent itself.” We think many things – the changes at the Riverchase Country Club, the building of the Riverwalk community, the City of Hoover’s vibrancy, and, none-the-less, an increase in the ability to keep Riverchase safe and well maintained through acceptance of the new amendments – will breathe new life into our beloved community and propel it into the next generation.

Remember… Our commitment is to you!

Joy Patterson, RRA President
