If you are a garden aficionado, you are going to love the look of several areas scattered around the Riverchase residential community.

Nestled throughout our community are little garden roundabouts or islands, several of which contain monuments that indicate the name of individual sections within Riverchase. These garden islands are being reworked to create a lovely oasis, including an array of new plants such as oak leaf hydrangea, azalea, camellia, lamb’s ear, loropetalum, several types of grasses, dwarf holly, and even some small trees, depending on location. A select combination of these shrubs and perennials will serve to enhance our little corner of the world.

A lovely Alabama blue flagstone setting will further enhance several islands, and the larger roundabouts will include a stone pathway that leads to a bench for the enjoyment of sitting and reflecting. Where benches are being installed, they are chosen specifically in regard to each area, whether curved or straight.

Further unification of the gardens will include a renewal of monument signage. These signs will feature a dark background with the brass Riverchase “R” logo and the name of the section. A completion date in August is expected.

While each little garden will have its own personality, it will be tied together with the use of flagstone pavers, signage, or renewed landscaping that is appropriate for its location. Whether walking or driving, you are sure to encounter a renewed sense of pride while savoring the picturesque loveliness of each island roundabout.
